Arabic Media Language Course
This course will help you to master the Arabic media language, enabling you to follow current events through Arab channels.
The Arabic Media Language course program has 8 modules in 7 levels.
Each level is 32 hours in total, and classes meet four days a week from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for four weeks (16 days x two-hour session).
By the end of this stage you will be able to: understand a written or audio text; present a simple description of a news item and be able to summarize and reformulate it; take an active part in discussion about familiar topics…At this stage, you will study the ACC Program, which is an educational program produced by almadrasa, specially designed for novice Arab media language learners. This program includes 8 modules of visual and written short news.
At this stage, you will study the same topics you studied in the previous stage but with more complex visual or written news texts. At the end of this stage, you will be able to:
Present clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects integrating sub-themes, developing particular points and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion; write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to the course topic; explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options; take an active part in discussion of familiar topics, accounting for and sustaining your views.
At this stage, you will study media topics related to global, regional and local issues through television news and talk shows programs
You will be able to: understand most TV news and current affairs programs; express news in clear, well- structured texts; express points of view at some length; write about complex subjects in an essay or a report, underlining the salient issues; select and produce a style appropriate to the reader.
We offer three types of courses: intensive, long-term and online:
The intensive course is an ideal choice for you if you want to speak more confidently, practice listening more attentively, and learn phrases that help with your fluency as quickly as possible while studying abroad. This will give you the most class time and will allow you to fit more learning into a shorter space of time if you cannot be away from your home country for too long.
Intensive courses consist of 32 hours of teaching over four weeks, which is provided as four 2-hour classes per week (32 hours / 2 hour session / 4 weeks / 4 days a week/ 8 hours per week).
The long-term course is very suitable for people already living and working in Egypt, who wants to speak more confidently, practice listening more attentively, and learn phrases that help with your fluency, but not on a full-time basis.
Long-term courses consist of 32 hours of teaching over eight weeks, which is provided as two 2-hour classes per week (32 hours / 2 hour session / 8 weeks / 2 days a week/ 4 hours per week).
